Simple Video Squeeze Page Landing Page Template That Converts

In this article:

[cta-box] Generating more leads and sales for your business doesn’t have to be complicated. In fact, we’re constantly reminding ourselves at LeadPages to keep it simple and that’s exactly why I want to introduce you to our new video squeeze page. The minimalist design of this page forces you to focus on the copy. When you have a large landing page that requires a video, a lot of texts and several other elements, people have the tendency to overthink things. But when you literally have a few lines of texts it forces you to be crystal clear about the benefits people will get when they watch your video and follow your call to action. This page’s simplistic design is totally meant to do one thing, focus your audience’s attention on the message in your video. That message should then convince them that they either need to opt-in to your list or purchase your product. This page has easy to use social share buttons as well so your audience can share this page on social media channels to help cultivate more traffic. This page also features the magic buy button so when they click on this button it can either open a LeadBoxes where your visitors can then enter their email address and additional information or it can function as a buy button where clicking on it will direct someone to another page like a shopping cart. Now where the magic comes in is when a visitor comes to this page and sees your headline and video with no buy button. They aren’t immediately taken aback. Since there’s no button this page comes off like a complete giving page instead of a taking page so people will lower their guard and your video can then effectively get your message across because the visitor is keeping an open mind. Now where the real magic happens is that the call to action in your video. This button appears at the exact same time as the call to action in your video. So for example, in this video on the page the call to action is to enter a contest. I’m going to have the magic buy button appear now urging people to enter a contest. This one technique has seen conversions increase in some cases like 50% or more so it’s very simple and very powerful. Let’s look at how to customize this page inside of LeadPages. Go to My.LeadPages.net and log in. Once you’re in the member’s area, find the video squeeze page and click use this template. From there select the market that this page will be used in from the dropdown. Now like with all pages inside of LeadPages you simply click on something to edit it. So I’ll add my headline in here. I can update this logo by clicking it, selecting edit and then selecting my image from the image bin. If I have a number for people to call I can enter that in here or I can hide it all together. One really cool thing about this phone number section here is you can make this a click to calling. So when someone is viewing this page on a smart phone, they can click the number and their phone will dial the number for them. One great thing about LeadPages is you can make any text link to a URL or a LeadBox. So in this case, we’d highlight the number and click on the link button. Now in the box we’d add the following. Tell: and then the number with no dashes then we’d click done. Now when someone clicks on this number in a mobile browser, we’ll then be prompted to call you. Now I’ll add my video by clicking on the video and then pasting in the embed code. You can use videos from services like YouTube, Wistia, Vimeo or any other service that gives you an embed code. To edit these social share buttons, just click on each button and enter in the information requested. If you don’t want to use one of them, simply click the I icon on the ones you don’t want to use. Now let’s say I’d like to change the color scheme on the page, I just go to the stylist tab, click on a certain element what I want to change and then I’d drag the crosshairs to the proper color. Now I’ll click on the content tab to edit the button. Now remember you can have this button either show a LeadBox when it’s clicked on or you can have it go to a URL. So if I’m sending people to my shopping cart or a different URL, I’d enter that in the URL bar here and then if I wanted to change the button text I could do that. Now if I wanted a LeadBox to appear when someone clicks on the button I’d select show opt-in form. To edit the LeadBox, I’ll just select click here to edit opt-in form. I can collect multiple form fields like name, email phone number and so on as well as rearrange the fields for how I’d like them to look. I just need to select my opt-in form integration and , which list I’d like to add people to then , which fields I’d like to collect. Finally I’ll need to enter a thank you page URL. I can change out these images for my logo and maybe I can set full I’s the image of my download. Now I’m also going to update the text on this LeadBox. The last step is to program our magic buy button go appear at the exact time or call to action happens in our video, then I’ll need to find the specific time in my video that the call to action happens. So again let’s say that it’s at four minutes and 21 seconds so I’ll need to then add that time in here and then when someone comes to this page and plays the video, the button appears at the same time as the call to action in the video. Now when I’m done customizing, I’ll name the page then I’ll save the page. If I’d like to check to see if the page looks okay on the tablet or a smart phone, I can do that right inside of LeadPages. I’ll just click on this tablet button to look at the page on the tablet and I can see that it looks absolutely amazing. Or if I click on phone, I can see the page on a smart phone and again you can see that it looks absolutely stunning. Now when I click publish, LeadPages gives me a URL I can use to instantly view the page and here are the pages and again it looks fantastic. Back in the publishing window, there are a few more options. You can publish this page to WordPress, publish the page to Facebook as a Facebook tab or you can download the file and put it on your own server. If you’re not a LeadPages customer, this can be a bit more difficult to set up. Here’s what you’ll need to do if you’re not a LeadPages customer.
